Breast reduction Tustin
Many women directly relate their sense of femininity and sensuality with the size of their breasts, however, women with very large breasts know that may have too much of a good thing. Large breasts create back and neck strain as well as draw unwanted attention and bring on self-consciousness. Finding clothing that fits well and exercising are just a few things that can be difficult for top-heavy women. With a Breast Reduction Orange County and Los Angeles women can increase their comfort and enhance their self-image.
What is a Breast Reduction?
A Reduction Mammoplasty or Breast Reduction refers to the removal of breast skin and tissue in order to reshape the breasts for a more pleasing contour. This procedure relieves back, neck, and shoulder pain, poor posture, and unwanted attention among other symptoms associated with large breasts. A Breast Reduction procedure is similar to a breast lift surgery except that the amount of breast tissue and fat is removed in a larger volume. Dr. Kalantarian’s goal with a breast reduction procedure is to reduce the volume of the breasts and sculpt the remaining tissue into a beautiful, natural shape.

What Can I Expect During a Breast Reduction?
During a breast reduction procedure, Orange County Dr. K Plastic Surgeon will cut around the areola (nipple) area, and then make incisions vertically down the middle of the breasts and along the bottom crease of the breasts, making an achor-shaped incision. Tissue is removed from the underside of the breast, and the breast is repositioned and lifted. The nipple is then repositioned and, if necessary, the nipple size is reduced by cutting the perimiter of the areola.
What Is the Recovery Period After a Breast Reduction?
After breast reduction surgery you will wear bandages or a supportive, gauze-lined bra to minimize swelling and discomfort. Pain medication will be administered as needed. Strenuous activity must be avoided for atleast a month after surgery. The results of a breast reduction procedure will continue to improve in the months following surgery as swelling diminishes.
